Archbishop Hoban High School is a private coeducational Catholic high school in the
Diocese of Cleveland sponsored by the
Brothers of Holy Cross. In the spirit of
Blessed Basil Moreau, the founder of the
Congregation of Holy Cross, the school's vision is to develop in its graduates the competence to see and the courage to act.
Originally chartered as a comprehensive school, Hoban was rechartered as a special-purpose, college preparatory school in 2009. To meet the varied needs of its students, the school offers a comprehensive course of studies as well as a wide array of athletic opportunities and cocurricular activities.
Blessed Basil Moreau believed society has a greater need for people of values than for scholars. Hoban's mission is to provide an educational atmosphere centered in gospel values, high expectations and achievement. The school respects the principles of democracy and acknowledges the God-given freedoms of each person.
