Comprehensive Rehabilitation
At The Good Shepherd, our outstanding team of licensed therapists offers state-of-the-art customized rehabilitation services to each individual. Our rehabilitation program is designed for individuals who are recovering from:

Rehabilitative services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language therapy. Services are available seven days a week and are coordinated through each individual's physician.
Transitional Care Unit
Let The Good Shepherd facilitate your transition between hospital and home.
The Good Shepherd provides short-term rehabilitation stays in our Transitional Care Unit. We provide daily skilled nursing and major therapy services, including; physical, occupational and speech therapy. Many patients return home after just a short stay with the confidence and abilities needed to live an independent life. With our caring staff and licensed therapists we can meet all your needs as well as provide you with preventative wellness programs to continue your rehabilitation after you return home.
Complex Medical Care and Skilled Nursing

Windsor Abbey Memory Care Program
The Good Shepherd is proud to be Ashland County's exclusive provider of specialized care to individuals with Alzheimer's disease and memory related impairments. This unique program provides creative, optimistic and dignified care to residents who are experiencing memory challenges. Designed to meet the sensitive needs of this population, our individualized approach incorporates family members and residents in a partnership of caregiving.
Short Stay Program
We invite our community to take a break at The Good Shepherd. Our short stay option allows individuals to experience The Good Shepherd for one day, a long weekend or even a week at a time. Our program is designed to foster resident independence within the community and extend extra support to family members and caregivers. It's the ideal solution for a vacation!
Extended Care Program
For more than 50 years, The Good Shepherd has been the leader in Ashland County in providing compassionate and dignified care to individuals within our community. We place special emphasis on the Victorian theme, wellness and quality living. Our philosophy respects each individual's integrity and choices, and promotes meaning and purpose. The Good Shepherd maintains caring collaborations with local hospice organizations to provide additional services to terminally ill residents and their families.
