TAX + HOME OFFICE SERVICES^©(THOS) was founded in St. Paris, Ohio, in 1978 by Lewis E. "Lew" Prine, and relocated to Guernsey County, Ohio, in 1990.  As of 2011-12, THOS has provided 34 years of fast, friendly, caring and ethical service.  Mr. Prine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University, a Master of Education degree from Ohio University, post-Master's courses from The University of Toledo, Ohio University, and Ohio Wesleyan University, and various educational certificates including one from the McGraw-Hill Schools in Contemporary Bookkeeping and Accounting and from The Professional Tax Preparation Program of the Professional Career Development Institute.  He is a National Notary Association Certified and Background Screened Notary Signing Agent as well.  He is a member of the National Notary Association, the National Society of Tax Professionals, Past Secretary of the Cambridge Lions Club and member of the Noble County Lions Club.

THOS limits its services to individual income tax preparation (no Partnerships or Corporations,) and Prine prepares over 200 tax returns a year for customers mainly in Ohio, but also in other states, such as Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, and Pennsylvania, and can file for any state that has a state income tax.  99% of his returns are e-filed at no extra cost to his customers.

Fees for tax preparation are very reasonable and about half to one-third of the fees charged by national chains.  Here you know who prepares your returns and, not closing up on April 15, he is available throughout the year for free consultation for his customers.   A $15 check is sent to each customer who refers another customer for his services as well.  (One of his customers has been paid over $75 for recommending new customers.)

Each year he attends tax schools to keep up-to-date with the many changes in the tax law, and, as now required by law, he has an assigned ERO pin number and will be complying with the new IRS requirements for Registered Tax Preparers.  Mr. Prine utilizes the tax software rated by a national acounting organization as the best of all professional tax programs.

Tax + Home Office Services is located at Mr. Prine's home office in Buffalo, Ohio.  Come to Buffalo on Route 313 and follow the signs posted during tax season (12030 Lincoln Street, off Vocational Road).  Also available are services of a Notary Public, faxing, copying, and laminating services.  Fees lists are available for your advance perusal. Resumés will be done on request.
