Defiance Clinic is also a partner with St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Mercy Hospital of Defiance, located directly behind the Clinic at 1404 East Second Street, telephone 419-782-8444. Mercy Hospital of Defiance is a 23-bed medical and surgical hospital with an eight-bed Emergency Center, staffed by experienced emergency physicians, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hospital also has a Progressive Care Unit for inpatients and Fauster Surgery Center for inpatient and outpatient surgery.  The Progressive Care Unit is a unique approach to hospital care in which the patients remain in the same rooms throughout their hosptial stays. Their nurses bring equipment and provide intensive care as necessary.
