I think the new store is much better than the old one.

Great store. Offers a lot of variety and great gift ideas. Its a small store so you can browse without feeling overwhelmed and you can see what is offered. New crafters coming in each time go in. So take a look, support your local crafters, let them know if there are items you are looking for....

Excellent displays, interesting vintage stuff, friendly proprietors, good prices... well worth stopping in... oh, did I mention the Pearl Coffee?

They need to update their info. I went to see a specific Crafter that was listed on their website and they haven't been there for awhile. I was told this was where the Hudson Sampler had moved to but this isn't anything like it. Total atmosphere is boring. The guy behind the counter on his computer and couldn't be bothered. Then lady came in and went behind the counter and she seemed bored. Not the same great people at the old store. I miss Brenda and Patty from the old store. Where did all of the nice gift items go? Only booths of crafts and antiques. Antiques were OK but I didn't see some of the crafters from the old store that were really good. I asked a crafter who was working in her booth and she said that she was going to be moving out soon. No traffic. No reason to go back for me.

The Sampler store is wonderful! Lots of interesting merchandise -- handcrafted and vintage. I don't think the previous poster has the right store as every customer is greeted and the salespeople have been very helpful and upbeat. They don't hover or follow you around the store -- which I am grateful for. I have bought merchandise there and found the selections and prices to be good and quality outstanding. I think 'carolyn,' the previous poster must have an axe to grind or simply be mean spirited because her posting is not the truth.

Free speech and thought are an individual right. The last poster obviously never was at the old store that was heads above this store. I was there to see Jill's jewelry, the primitive antique dealer in the back and they are gone. I saw some of the Crafters at shows recently and they say that the owner, Sally, plays favorites which hurt the crafters and the traffic is bad. They too hear from old customers at shows that they don't like the new owners. They just aren't Brenda and Patty and Anna. They also said that the old owner has had many problems with them. They changed the locks on her and their attorney told her that they said that she would steal from the them. They changed all of the passwords so she couldn't see what they were doing even though she was still an owner. Nice!
